Title: |
“Rejustor-based circuit for In-Application calibration of signal chain offset & gain.” |
|
Abstract: |
One of the key application challenges associated with portable precision measuring devices is that of maintaining calibration while minimizing instrument down time. Keeping the instrument in the field and out of the shop is a prime design goal. The design presented here achieves this goal by utilizing the Rejustors unique capabilities to obtain and hold a highly precise and stable resistance.
This is achieved using hardware resources that are “native” to the application platform anyway. Further, there is no need to measure the resistance of the rejustor directly. Instead, the output of the signal chain in which the rejustors are included is measured for a “calibration” sample and the rejustors adjusted to achieve the required output.
