Title:   Embedded Security
Abstract:   Electronic devices are at risk of unauthorized tampering and unauthorized investigation from the moment that they are made available to the general public. Current methods involve tamper evident seals which void the warranty (ineffective in most cases) and potting compounds which make future service impossible. In extreme cases one method of security is the complete removal of the program or software component of a design which would render the device useless if tampered with. In other cases a simple lighted indicator which changes colour would quickly and easily indicate if the design enclosure has been removed or opened. Both security circuits closely related and are based around the Rejustor which use electrical signals to modify its characteristics in circuit.
