Abstract: |
Notwithstanding industry specifications intended to standardize cable installations, variations are apt to exist at every turn. The variety of cable configurations can be daunting to a designer who must interface with them. To ease these situations, the RC-type Adaptive Cable Equalizer circuit employs Reductors ™ to reduce or eliminate distortion due to transmission Cable losses stemming from arbitrary and extended cable lengths.
The RC-type Adaptive Cable Equalizer automatically tailors the frequency response of received transmission line signals, namely, signals over differential twisted pair lines of arbitrary length, so that a received signal matches the transmitted signal as closely as possible.
